MARTIN B. LOCK

Martin focuses his legal practice in the areas of premises security, commercial transportation, premises liability, and products liability for individuals and corporate clients, including one of the nation’s largest retailers. Martin has a wealth of courtroom experience including trials and litigation of pre-trial and post-trial motions. Martin handles all aspects of his cases including pleadings, discovery, motion practice, arbitrations, mediations, and trial work. Martin is licensed in Pennsylvania.


Prior to joining McDonnell & Associates, Martin served as an Assistant District Attorney and as an Assistant Public Defender. In his career Martin has handled more than two thousand cases and has conducted numerous trials, most recently as part of the Major Trials Unit of the Defender Association of Philadelphia.


Martin is a 2011 graduate of the Villanova University School of Law. Martin graduated Magna Cum Laude from University of Southern California in 2007. Martin is bilingual (English/Spanish) and previously volunteered for the Esperanza Immigration Legal Services where he assisted with Naturalization Applications.

Throughout his career Martin has handled all types of criminal cases from misdemeanors to the highest graded felonies. As a prosecutor he represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania in cases ranging from Theft to Attempted Murder. In his years as an Assistant Public Defender Martin maintained a diverse practice involving a wide variety of cases, ultimately specializing in major felony cases with the Defender Association of Philadelphia.


As both a prosecutor and a public defender Martin was an administrative team member of Veterans Treatment Court, a specialty Court focusing on a treatment-based, rehabilitative approach unique to the circumstances of military veterans in the criminal justice system.
